EV 2 LAN

Echovoice Gaming Association is proud to announce EV 2 - this will be the south west's #1 lan party of the year!

Saturday, January 20 th at 10:00 AM - Sunday, January 21st to 10:00 AM
24 Hours of continuous gaming and tournaments planned
Doors will open at 8:00 AM on Saturday for early setup, remember tournaments start at 10:00 AM saturday morning.

Admission
  • Regular Admission (At the door): $25
  • Prepaid Regular Admission: $20, online payment will begin in mid-December.
  • Students: $2 discount (Current Valid ID required at door)
  • Spectators: $5
  • Canned food donations for charity? 10 cans of food (15 oz or more) for a $5 discount (only one discount can be applied per person)

All proceeds and donations made during the event will be donated to a charity

Rules and Regulations

  • All people must come to the LAN with a working computer, or have written permission from the host to come to the LAN with a broken computer.

    • Definition of working computer: computer that does not need any hardware, OS, or (preferably) game installs before it can be connected to the lan, and is virus and spyware free. Echovoice reserves the right to force any suspected computer to have a complete virus/spyware scan at anytime.

  • No drugs (prescriptions allowed), no alcohol, and no weapons. We will call the police if you come with these items in your possession. We also will have on staff Echovoice security.

  • No breaking peoples stuff and under no circumstances may you touch or browse through another person's computer or belongings without direct permission from that person, or you will be asked to leave.

  • Do not bring speakers, use headphones!

  • If a computer-related problem develops at the event, the Echovoice Staff will provide moderate help, but do realize that their priority is not to fix things.
  • The host or sponsors have the right to revoke your access from the event and/or ask of you to leave for unwanted behavior or actions at any time for any reasonable cause.

    • host = any Echovoice Staff member!

 

  • Echovoice has the right to add or amend it's rules at any time, before, during, and after any Echovoice event.

 

  • Because of the mature nature of many of the games played at the LAN, all attendees under the age of 18 years of age will be asked to fill out a waver of liability and permission slip. This will be available in PDF format within a month of the LAN.

 
What You Need to Bring

  • A working computer with at least one of the games mentioned in the official schedule of events, installed with the latest patches. Your computer *must* have a working, wired NIC card. Wireless may be available, but it will be on an independent network for internet access only. Wireless routers or switches are strictly not allowed.

  • A completed personal release form. (also provided at the event doors) [Available Soon]

  • A monitor. We will not be renting monitors or have any spare monitors for attendees.

  • A surge-protector/power-strip.

  • Headphones, if you want to hear your games. No speakers will be allowed.

  • A mouse, joystick, speedpad, etc. None of those will be available by the LAN host.

  • you may bring a cat-5 Ethernet cable, WE WILL LEND FREE CAT-5 CABLES TO ALL ATTENDIES
  • Food/food money. The LAN will provide a free of charge a variety of snacks and drinks available. The possibility of lunch and pizza will be served for dinner at no extra cost. We will update you on more information when available.
  • Bring a friend, if you can!


    For every friend you get to register you will get $1 OFF ADMISSION!

 
What's in it for me?
  • A seat of your choice anywhere in our floor plan. These are first come, first serve on the day of the party. However this may change if we get a working seating chart online, I will update this page with a link to the dynamic seating chart.

 

  • A spot in each of our tournaments. You may choose not to participate in either one on party day, do both, or just skip one. Each one has its own dedicated prizes for the winners. Please note, some tournaments overlap, please pay attention to the times.

 

  • Free freebies. Thank you sponsors for cool stuff.

 

  • The possibility of lunch and pizza will be served for dinner at no extra cost. We are waiting to see what kind of discount we can get from local venders.

 

  • A chance at the prizes available as part of our tournaments and the raffle which will liquidate all remaining prizes to everyone who attends. Raffle tickets are distributed at the door (2 included in admission), additional available at $5 a ticket.


 

By signing up for the party, you agree to all of our rules, including to the no tolerance policy on drugs and alcohol, and will bring all of the necessities which are listed on the what to bring page. If you break the no-tolerenace rule, you will be banned from all future parties and removed from the current party with no refund.
